For 70 Years the Jowers family has been in the battery industry (three generations).  In 1947 we started a small, family-owned, battery company. Since then, the battery company grew, and U.S. Lead was born.  We’ve grown into a full service lead brokerage that was founded on the premise that scrap batteries and scrap lead could be moved to secondary smelters in a clean and compliant method with a faster turnaround of payment.  

U.S. Lead, Inc. has been in business for over 30 years.  With our own truck and freight brokerage, we are able to manage the financing and logistics of moving truckloads of scrap batteries and lead products to our system of secondary smelters.  

U.S. Lead, Inc. values all customers and suppliers and upholds honesty and integrity while recycling in a safe, efficient manner.  We are concerned about the environment, and we take the proper steps to protect it. All of our facilities are compliant with EPA standards.
